Private Individual Recovery Treatment Plan

This program addresses a broad spectrum of problems and not just the substance use alone. Emphasis is placed on increasing our client's ability to cope with high risk situations that commonly precipitate relapse.  This includes interpersonal difficulties and intrapersonal discomfort such as anxiety or depression. The goal of this training is to teach the person to use active behavioral or cognitive coping methods to deal with problems, rather than relying on substances as a maladaptive coping strategy.  This skills training also provides a means of obtaining social support critical to the maintenance of sobriety. Clients meet privately one time a week with their own therapist.  Each session includes practice exercises.
