Benjamin Z. Noréns is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (Registration # 66605).  Ben completed his Master’s degree at Naropa University in Boulder, CO and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology with an emphasis in Psychotherapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Before arriving at Full Spectrum, Ben acted as clinical Team Leader and Psychotherapist at a residential treatment facility in Boulder CO.  He supervised residential counselors, and managed therapeutic teams, treatment interventions, and goals.

Ben’s therapeutic expertise is informed by his past clinical work as a trauma research provider, middle school counselor, residential treatment psychotherapist, private practice psychotherapist, and group facilitator for a program specializing in the treatment of early childhood sexual abuse.  Ben has worked with national and international health programs since 2005.

Ben is experienced with a range of populations including: adolescents, adults, seniors, and people addressing addictions, eating disorders, depression, chronic pain, trauma, abuse, sexuality, severe mental illness, and existential issues of meaning.  Ben utilizes an integral therapeutic approach incorporating elements of motivational interviewing, cognitive/behavioral, somatic, depth psychology, and strength-based approaches.
